Level 3 Fire Safety (Auditors) (9 day course)

This SFJ Awards qualification is aimed at those who are new to working in a fire safety role and wish to build their knowledge and gain recognition of their competence. This qualification can be completed by both operational and non-operational staff working in a relevant role and is designed to both support individual development and FRS’s Prevention and Protection performance.

This is a nationally recognised qualification awarded which has been developed in conjunction with United Kingdom FRSs and the National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC).

Fire Prevention Training for the Public Sector

Level 2 Fire Safety Checks (3 day course)

This qualification is aimed at individuals working within a Fire and Rescue Service (FRS), who will be required to carry out Fire Safety Checks as part of their role eg identifying, resolving & escalating fire safety issues. It will provide them with the knowledge and skills to undertake this work.

This is a nationally recognised qualification awarded which has been developed in conjunction with United Kingdom FRSs and the National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC).

Fire Awareness (half day course)

Courses designed to meet your legal obligations as an employer to ensure that adequate training is provided to allow employees to effectively implement the organisation’s Fire Safety Policy.

This bespoke course is designed to build knowledge on the nature and causes of fire and how to evacuate in accordance with your Fire Safety Policy. Typical content also includes:

  • Explanation on how fires start, develop and travel
  • Effects of smoke and fire
  • How to effectively assist and carry out fire evacuation
  • Fire Extinguishers, their types, uses and limitations

Fire Marshal/Warden (1 day course)

This one day Fire Marshal/Warden course plays a critical role in maintaining a safe environment within private sector organisations, ensuring the protection and safe evacuation of occupants in the event of a fire.  This role will assist the Responsible Person to carry out their duties under the relevant legislation.  The course focuses on the knowledge and understanding required for the comprehensive role and responsibility of the Fire Marshal/Warden. No formal qualifications are required for this qualification.

Fire Prevention Training for the Public Sector

Our FRA courses are aimed at individuals who are either new to Fire Risk Assessment or experienced practitioners. All qualifications are aligned to BS 8674:25 – developed through wide industry collaboration and public consultation with alignment to BS 8670-1:2024, the Code of Practice, and sets out the skills, knowledge, experience, and behaviours expected of professionals working at three progressive levels:

  • Foundation – New entrants and those assessing simple premises, such as small offices or shops.
  • Intermediate – Those assessors requiring greater experience, responsible for medium complexity buildings such as public venues or mid-rise residential properties.
  • Advanced – Highly experienced professionals working on complex, high-risk buildings including hospitals, residential towers, and large public spaces.

We currently offer Level 3 (Foundation) and Level 4 (Intermediate).
